World leaders pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat

World leaders attending the G20 Summit in New Delhi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Rajghat on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen welcoming the Heads of state and government and Heads of international organisations as they arrived at the premises.


US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, UK PM Rishi Sunak, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Indonesia President Joko Widodo, President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and several other leaders paid their homage to Mahatma Gandhi.


The leaders then proceeded to Bharat Mandapam where the third and final session of the G20 Leaders’ Summit titled ‘One Future’ will be held.
