Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan a few hours after she arrived in New Delhi on a State visit to India.
As the red carpet was laid out at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan, Meloni was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Italian PM then paid her respects to Mahatma Gandhi by offering floral tributes at Rajghat.
After the visit to Rajghat, Meloni commenced bilateral talks with PM Modi at Hyderabad House.
On her first visit to India, the Italian PM will also be the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the 8th Raisina Dialogue 2023 which kicks off in the Indian capital this evening.
