The prestigious 18th G20 (Group of 20) Summit which will be held in India’s Capital city Delhi will see the world leaders, leading dignitaries and domain experts talking and discussing varied issues concerning humankind. All these have been taken up as new initiatives by India after it has assumed the Presidency of the group.

Keeping in view the start-up boom globally there will be a Startup20 that will provide voice to this new ecosystem. Considering the increase in the incidence of disasters in the world there will be a session of a new working group which will deliberate on ways to reduce them while encouraging sharing of research and knowledge on this relevant issue.
With changing dietary habits taking centre stage to make people healthy, discussion about a global research and awareness initiative for millets and other ancient grains will be held and at the same time to make the world digitally safe, a session on cybersecurity will be held too.
With emphasis on one planet, one home, G20 will look closely at a policy on the environment for integrating climate and development goals through responsible consumption.
The new focus areas of G20 are women development; counter narcotics; and traditional medicines which will be part of the agenda.
