Video: Two planes collide mid-air at US air show, 6 killed

A Boeing B-17 bomber collided with a fighter plane mid-air at an air show at Dallas Executive Airport in the USA on Saturday turning the event into a horrific tragedy as the two aircraft crashed to the ground and burst into flames.

Six people, all crew members, are feared dead in the collision, according to media reports .

Dramatic visuals captured by spectators at the event show the bigger B-17 bomber flying at low altitude, in a straight line, while the smaller plane – a Bell P-63 Kingcobra, is flying in its direction from the left. The smaller plane crashes on top of the B-17, a World War II-era plane, and immediately the two aircraft break into pieces and fall to the ground in a ball of fire.
