Video: Several killed, 20 hurt as SUV ploughs through Christmas parade in USA

Several people were killed and more than 20 injured as an SUV smashed past barricades and ploughed through a parade of Christmas marchers in America’s suburban town of Milwaukee on Sunday.</p>
<p>
The terrifying incident has been captured on CCTV footage and mobile phones of onlookers. </p>

Waukesha Police Chief Dan Thompson said "some" people had been killed but would not give an exact number. A person was in custody, as was the SUV, he said, but he did not give any indication of a motive, according to a Reuters report.</p>

One video shows a woman screaming, "Oh my God!" repeatedly after a group of girls wearing Santa hats is mowed down.</p>
<p>
Another video shows the SUV ploughing into members of a school marching band, as their music gives way to terrified screams.</p>
