A brave father kept his presence of mind and threw his three-year-old son from a second storey apartment to save him from a raging fire that was sweeping through the residential building. First responders on the ground caught the toddler and then his father who also jumped to safety, according to a BBC report.</p>

Both are safe but have sustained minor injuries. The fire started in a flat on the third storey of the New Jersey residential apartment complex before spreading through the building.</p>

As many as 50 people had to abandon their homes due to the massive blaze.</p>
