Lithuanian ambassador to India, Diana Mickeviciene, knows how to speak Hindi and Sanskrit as well.
Speaking to news agency ANI, the ambassador from the European country narrated about how she learnt Sanskrit and Hindi. She is heard saying in Hindi, “It is a bit difficult for me to talk about serious matters in Hindi at the moment. But, I am able to speak. I learnt Sanskrit for two years. But, that is a language of scriptures in our University. I learnt to read, write and translate, but not to speak.”
Then she says that in between she has been out of touch with Hindi, but after another six months or so she would become fluent in the language again.
