A three-year-old child from Pakistan who inadvertently crossed the International Border into India was handed over to Pakistan security personnel by the Border Security Force (BSF), officials said on Saturday.</p>

BSF informed that on Friday at about 7:15 pm, troops of 182 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector apprehended a Pakistani child, who was around 3 years old, while he crossed the border and entered Indian territory. The child was unable to reveal anything and was kept under safe custody of BSF, the statement read.</p>

As it was a case of inadvertent crossing, BSF approached Pakistan&nbsp; Rangers and at about 9:45 pm, the child was handed over to them on humanitarian grounds as well as a goodwill gesture.</p>
