Rahul Gandhi’s New York event coordinators include those with Pakistani, Muslim Brotherhood links—Disinfo Lab

Rahul Gandhi maybe unaware but extremists belonging to fronts linked to Jamaat-e-Islam (JeI) of Pakistan and Muslim Brotherhood are involved in hosting the Congress leader’s New York event on June 4.

According to the Twitter handle of investigative website Disinfo Lab, a NRI interaction with Gandhi will be held at Javits Center in New York on Sunday.

But the coordinator’s list features some who have extremist anti-India links. For instance, the coordinators include Tanzeem Ansari, He is the Amir, Outreach Committee of Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ).  MCNJ, on its part is led by a Pakistan-born Imaam, Jawad Ahmed. Ahmed is the project director, Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the Disinfo Lab findings reveal.

The ICNA, a radical Islamist organisation has links with Pak’s JeI, establishing Ansari and Ahmed’s connections with the anti-India organisation, which has glorified organisation such as Hizbul Mujahideen and praised its leader Syed Salahuddin for adhering to his “cause of separation of Kashmir from India.”

Another coordinator of the event is, says the Twitter thread is Mohammed Aslam. Aslam is a member of Muslim Center of Greater Princeton (MCGP), which is apparently another close partner of ICNA.  Founder of the banned radical group Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) is a is also a ICNA member.

Besides, Minhaj Khan, another self-appointed coordinator for the RG event, is linked to anti-India lobbying group Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC). IAMC relentlessly targets India on pretext of human rights, religious freedom, & via sharing fake news to stir communal unrest in India, Disinfo Lab findings show.

IAMC had engaged US lobby firm, paying them USD 55K Dollars for lobbying the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) against India in 2013-14, during Dr. Manmohan Singh Govt, the thread says.

IAMC’s Exec Dir Rasheed Ahmed is the Executive Director of another Jamaat affiliated ‘charity’ front Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA), which exploited India’s goodwill and raised millions of dollars during peak Covid in name of helping India, but siphoned off all the money.

These fronts relentlessly pursue their anti-India activities, irrespective of the party in power in India.
