The Taliban supporters have rejected these claims. According to TOLO News, a senior Taliban leader Amir Khan Muttaqi has sent a recorded message to the people of Panjshir asking them to join the Islamic Emirate. According to Mutaqi, talks were held to solve Panjshir's problems, but so far there have been no results. He cautioned the people that the resistance front wanted to fight but Panjshir people should convince them to find a peaceful solution. He said the Taliban still wants to solve the issue peacefully but he did not say why the Taliban did not ask for the second round of talks.

According to some media reports, the Taliban has attacked Panjshir from all sides. There are heavy clashes between the terrorists and Resistance Forces led by Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh. Panjshir is under a complete siege and standing shoulder to shoulder with Ahmad Massoud is former first vice president and now acting president , Amrullah Saleh. Thousands of soldiers and commanders of the Afghan army are giving tough fights to the Taliban.

Ahmad Massoud has made it clear that “if the Taliban are willing to share power with everyone and are willing to establish justice and to give equal rights and freedom to all of Afghanistan, then I will step down and quit politics.” He and Saleh both have warned that if the Taliban do not agree to dialogue, then war will continue and they will never surrender.
