The global broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat radio programme was celebrated with great enthusiasm in New Zealand and Australia.
Thousands of people from different communities, including members of the Indian Diaspora, Members of the New Zealand Parliament and the country’s political leaders were present at Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Auckland, to be part of 100th Episode celebrations of Mann Ki Baat program delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the occasion to showcase the role of Women in Modern India which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always talked about, a group of 100 Indian-origin women, led by 100 years-old Ramiben from Gujarat took part in the special broadcast of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ organized by the NID Foundation and Indian High Commission in New-Zealand.
The contingent of 100 women was part of the Indian Diaspora who had gathered in large numbers at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre at Auckland to witness the live broadcast of the historic 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat delivered by PM Modi. The atmosphere at the event reverberated with the chants of ‘Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai’ and Bharat Mata Ki Jai by the women who participated in the event.
Ramiben who hails from Gujarat and currently living in New Zealand with her family is a regular listener of PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat. While getting emotional seeing the picture of PM Modi on-screen, Ramiben said “Sada Shukhi Raho” and blessed Prime Minister Modi for continuing the efforts to lead India to new heights.
High Commissioner of India to New Zealand Neeta Bhushan, and Honorary Consul of India, Bhav Dhillon were present on the occasion. Attendees also included the Chief Patron of the NID foundation Satnam Singh Sandhu and its founder Prof. Himani Sood.
Meanwhile, Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) Australia Chapter organized Mann Ki Baat at 100 locations across the country which were attended by more than 1000 people from the Indian diaspora.
Jay Shah, President, OFBJP Australia said that the Indian diaspora is very excited about the special screening of 100th episode of “Mann ki Baat” and many people approached them for conducting the program at their locations.
Mr. Shah further said that PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” is not only popular among the masses in India but also with Indians living abroad as they get very valuable information about positive things happening back home in India through this program. Adding to this Yogesh Bhatt coordinator of “Maan Ki Baat” from OFBJP Australia said that the program was also conducted at some landmark locations like- the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Many office bearers of OFBJP, Australia managed the arrangements for the program in their respective states including- Sachin Dahiya, Ritesh Mehta, Ankur Patel, Ganesh Vallakatti, Ashutosh Agarwal, Guruduty Bhat, Piyush Satapara, Rajendra Pandey and Sthitapragyan Maharana. Also, the BJP Member of Parliament from Vadodara Shri Ranjanben Bhatt joined the program from Melbourne and famous Punjabi singer Shri Lakhbir Singh Lakha attended the program from Sydney Opera House. Other OFBJP office bearers were present at the various locations across Australia to host the “Mann Ki Baat”.
