A man in the US has spent $1,70,000 (Rs 1.35 crore) on two painful surgeries to increase the length of his legs and become five inches taller.
Moses Gibson, 41, who was 5-foot-5-inch in height said that he was “unhappy” about being short and lacked confidence, Besides, he was not quite successful in dating women. So he desperately wanted to increase his height.
“I just didn’t feel good about myself,” Mr Gibson told Kennedy News and Media, adding that he was subjected to “heightism.”
“I was unhappy about it most of the time, it was my self-confidence in general, and with the ladies. It affected my dating life. I used to put things in my shoes to gain a little bit of height, but it wasn’t very much.”
He had tried various methods such as medication and a spiritual healer to become taller but these did not work so he decided to go in for surgery.
