Khalistani goons target Indian Consulate in Australia’s Brisbane

Khalistani goons have now attacked the Indian Consulate in Australia’s Brisbane at night and hoisted a so-called Khalistan flag on the premises.

The Honorary Consulate of India located on Swann Road in the Taringa suburb of Brisbane was targeted by Khalistan supporters on the night of February 21.

Honorary Consul of India in Brisbane Archana Singh found the Khalistan flag attached to the office when she arrived on February 22.

She immediately notified the Queensland Police, which on arrival confiscated the flag and swept the Honorary Consulate of India to clear of any immediate threat.

Archana Singh told Australia Today, “Police is surveilling the area to keep us safe. We have strong faith in police authority.”

“The whole Indian Australian community is working together so that what happened in Melbourne is not repeated,” she added.

Earlier on February 18, a similar attack was orchestrated outside the Indian High Commission in London when Khalistan hoodlums raised hate slogans.

The incident comes just a month after a Hindu temple was vandalised in Australia allegedly by Khalistani supporters. This was the third attack on a temple after Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs and BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Mill Park were smeared with hate messages against Hindus and India. The spate of attacks on Hindu temples had triggered widespread concerns with no end to Hinduphobia in the country.
