Indian Tricolour sales yield huge bananza for mid-level retailers

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has brought much joy to the country’s small and medium retailers. According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), the campaign has generated an additional of about Rs 500 crore only through the sale of the Indian Tricolour. While the Department of Post has sold more than 1 crore flags, the retailers have managed to sell about 30 crore.

The CAIT said that during the last 15 days, various trade associations all over the country organised more than 3000 “Tiranga” events which saw massive response from the people. The traders’ body in a statement also said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement has depicted the capacity and capabilities of Indian entrepreneurs who manufactured more than 30 crore Tricolours in a record time of about 20 days catering to the unprecedented demand of the National Flag among the people.

“We are seeing record participation from people across different walks of life. This is a great way to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” he tweeted.
