Around 150 Bangladesh alumni, who had studied in India and attended professional courses in Indian institutes of excellence, recently attended a get-together organised by the High Commission of India, Dhaka, reminiscing their Indian journey.
The 'Bangladesh-India Alumni Reunion 2021' was held on Thursday at the auditorium of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in Dhaka's Ramna. It also marked the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's First Education Minister and ICCR Founder President.
Over the years, more than 10,000 Bangladeshi nationals have availed various flagship scholarship schemes of the Indian government through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ayurveda Yoga Unani Siddha Homeopathy (AYUSH), Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) as well as 'Study in India' (SII) and Self Financing Schemes (SFS).
