Ousted Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has said there is a conspiracy to kill him and he has recorded a video naming those involved which will be made public if anything happens to him.

Addressing a rally at Sialkot on Saturday, Khan said, "A conspiracy is being hatched here and abroad to kill me. I got full knowledge of this conspiracy a few days ago. I have recorded a video about this conspiracy, naming all those involved in it and kept it in a safe place. If something happens to me then the people will come to know who were behind this conspiracy."

He said, “the reason for recording this video is that in Pakistan, powerful people are not held, thus through this video I will expose everyone who went against the country's interest. This is a historical tape.”

While Khan insisted that he knew who had "planned his assassination", he did not elaborate on the details.

He also said that he was shocked to see the "thieves" being foisted on the country, adding that dropping an atomic bomb would have been better than handing over power to these people.

Imran Khan and his party have also stepped up their campaign against the establishment and are openly accusing Pakistani army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the judiciary for supporting the US conspiracy in toppling their government.

Addressing his election rally in Mardan on Friday evening, Imran Khan said that he had warned “neutrals” – a reference to General Bajwa, “now everyone knows the neutrals were not actually neutral," and went on to question whether they were "part of the conspiracy to derail Pakistan on the economic and democratic front”. He raised the question as to how one could stay neutral when the country was facing destruction.

Khan claimed that he is getting calls from Bajwa and his generals but he has blocked their numbers as he is not ready to talk to them.

Khan said that he had warned the military establishment that the "fragile economic recovery would go into a tailspin" if the conspiracy against his government succeeded.
