Pakistan's atrocities on minorities in Balochistan and Sindh province continue unabated even as the Imran Khan-led government seems to be more concerned about the face-off between India and China rather than the worsening conditions at home.
Its economy already bleeding severely since last many years, Pakistan is now staring at its biggest-ever crisis since 1947 as Covid-19 pandemic has dealt a crippling blow to any chances of recovery.
That however hasn't stopped the notorious Pakistani agencies of committing human rights violations—from Waziristan to Balochistan.
While over 30,000 Baloch have disappeared in the last few decades, as many as eight Baloch men have been reportedly abducted in June from various regions of the province and added to the 'missing' tally which has seen a huge rise during the lockdown period.
Balochwarna News reported Pakistani security forces abducting Salem from Washbod town in Panjgur city on June 13, six Baloch youths from Gresha area of Khuzdar on the same day and a Baloch student named Muawiya Jamaldini from Noshki district besides a few more incidents of abductions from the area.
Locals believe that the abducted have been shifted to the military cantonment in Panjgur by the Pakistani forces.
In a press statement Thursday, Dr Murad Baloch, Secretary General of Baloch National Movement, said that Pakistan wants to eradicate the idea of resistance from the Baloch nation by hurting the honor and dignity of the Baloch nation through a series of humiliating incidents and torturous murders.
"We have to realize the fact that to crush the Baloch national movement, Pakistan is distorting our social values through multidimensional strategies and tactics to maintain its occupation and colonial rule. Death squads are the most valuable means to reduce the burden of direct accusations of Baloch genocide and war crimes of Pakistan at the international forums, but the Baloch nation has exposed Pakistan's tactics to the world through its struggle," said Murad Baloch.

Atrocities on ethnic and religious minorities continue unabated all over Pakistan. In Sindh, the body of a 35-year-old Hindu, Ramchand, son of Chandu Kohli, was found hanging in Goth Ashaf Cheema, Umarkot.
The region has witnessed a huge surge in mysterious cases of suicides by minority Hindus.
Four members of a Hindu family, including a woman and her three children, were found dead at their home in Jhimpper village of Thatta district on the day of festival Holi in March. While the local police tried to push the matter as a case of suicide, the post-mortem report had reportedly shown the cause of death as torture and poison.
A few weeks later, three children were burnt to death in Ghotki after huts of Hindus had 'accidentally caught' fire.
The atrocities, as it has been reported in the past, aren't just limited to the Hindu community.
Video of a Christian women in Umarkot has gone viral on social media earlier this week where she is accusing "an influential man" named Muhammad Abdul Wahid of harassing, threatening her and families in the village to leave or allow women to "make sexual relations with him & his friends".

Pakistan's brazen attitude towards minorities isn't changing though.
Country's leading daily The News International reported Friday the growing divide between Imran Khan's PTI government and the Baloch leaders.
"Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has lamented that instead of conciliating the irritated Baloch leaders, the PTI government was pushing away its Baloch allies and giving credence to the claims of federation crushing federating units. Sirajul Haq expressed shock at the BNP-Mengal's dissociating the PTI coalition government and said Sardar Akhtar Mengal had been pointing out all the 'injustices' being made with the people of Balochistan, but the PTI government could not resolve the issues. He said during several speeches in national assembly, Akhtar Mengal complained that PTI failed to honour the commitments regarding resolving the issues and problems of the province," the newspaper reported..
