Desperate to leave Afghanistan, two people fall from sky after clinging to plane

This video is going to haunt the world forever. Desperate crowds  had thronged the Kabul airport since Monday morning after the Taliban took control of the capital city of Kabul on Sunday after the  Afghan president Ashraf Ghani and his close aides escaped. The dramatic incident—a show of extreme human distress–happened the  morning after thousands of Afghans rushed to  Kabul airport to flee the country at any cost.</p>

A foreign journalist sharing the video clip said in the post, “crowd at #Kabul's Hamid Karzai Intn’l Airport rushing towards the terminal this morning amid the sound of automatic gunfire. Terrifying!”</p>

Kabul airport was a scene of chaos. The crowds outside Kabul’s international airport swelled and swelled on Monday morning, leaving the fences and security forces straining to contain the mass of people desperate to escape Afghanistan as the Taliban took control.</p>
<p>
Sharing the video, one BBC correspondent wrote, “This is, perhaps, one of the saddest images I've seen from #Afghanistan.  A people who are desperate and abandoned.  No aid agencies, no UN, no government.  Nothing.”</p>

In desperation people rushed through the boarding gates and tried to push their way onto commercial planes that were parked beside the terminal.</p>

The US forces took over for the Kabul airport for evacuation of US diplomats and staff, crowds rushed to the US C-17 plane. As the aircraft started moving for take off hundreds Afghans started running to board the plane. Some managed to climb on the plane.</p>

According to the Afghan journalist, two people fell from the sky.</p>

At least five people were killed at the airport earlier Monday, as hundreds of people tried to forcibly enter planes.</p>
