Delhi cops nab most wanted gangster Deepak Boxer in Mexico

Deepak Boxer, one of Delhi’s most-wanted gangsters, has been arrested by a Delhi police team in Mexico and will be brought to India later this week.

Deepak, 27, carried a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh by Delhi Police and  was on the run since he murdered a real estate developer in August 2022. The builder-hotelier, Amit Gupta, was shot several times on a busy road in Delhi’s Civil Lines area.

In a Facebook post, Boxer claimed that Gupta was murdered by him and that the motive for the murder was not extortion at all, but revenge.

He also claimed that Amit Gupta was the financier of the rival Tillu Tajpuria gang.

Police say that Boxer used a fake passport to leave the country. He took a flight to Mexico on January 29 from Kolkata under the alias Ravi Antil.

Deepak Boxer became the head of the Gogi gang after the notorious kingpin, Jitender Gogi, was killed inside the Rohini courts complex in 2021 in a gang war.

Boxer gained notoriety after he freed Jitendra Gogi from a Haryana jail in 2016.
