Cornered Imran Khan threatens opposition: ‘Be ready to face my wrath if your no-trust vote fails’

Cornered with mounting political pressure of the impending no-confidence vote against his government, a frustrated and angry Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued a stern warning to the opposition.

“I ask them (opposition parties), are you prepared to face what I will do once the no-confidence move fails,” Imran Khan said in a blistering speech to fire up his support base.

Khan told his supporters that he would “fight off this gang till the last drop of his blood”.

While the opposition is ready to bring the no-confidence motion, a frustrated and enraged, Khan has decided to take the “fight” to the street by abusing his opponents.

Taking a shot at the leader of the combined opposition Maulana Fazl Rehman, Khan said that he would not call him a ‘maulana’, a term used for learned and respected persons, because the man has earned crores by selling diesel in black.

“This man takes madrasa students to the streets to fulfill his interests. The fact is the country doesn’t need a conspirator like him,” Khan said.

“Let them bring the no-confidence against me and if it fails, they will face my wrath. Be ready for what I will do to you all,” Khan went on abusing and calling names of all opposition leaders including Nawaz sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

“If PML-N workers are listening, pay attention: how can a geedar (jackal) become a leader? Have you ever heard of a leader (Nawaz Sharif) being someone who runs away with his tail between his legs? And this man (Zardari) was known as "Mr 10 per cent" during the tenure of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto,” Khan also warned his allies that before “leaving” him, they should think of the consequences.

Taking a dig at the US and NATO, Khan told his supporters that it was the “West” who were playing games in Pakistan by supporting the “corrupt” opposition to oust him.

While opposition leaders like Fazl Rehman refused to be engaged with Khan’s low level politics, PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz questioned why he was "falling apart and sounding hysterical".

“Why falling apart & sounding hysterical Imran Khan ? The game has only just begun, dude & you have already lost it! Show some sportsmanship,” she tweeted.

According to Pakistani journalists, Imran Khan is doing what he used to love to do before the army installed him as the PM – hurling abuses at his detractors. Now he knows that his slogan “Naya Pakistan” has failed and his days are numbered.

This was not the first time Khan has issued threats. Last month in a veiled attack on the security establishment that brought him to power, Khan had said, “I warn you if I am out of the government, I will be more dangerous to you. Till now I was watching the situation. If I come out on the street then you would not have any place to hide because people have seen your true colours.”
