A video clip showing the British Queen's guard astride a horse outside Buckingham Palace, yelling at a woman tourist in London has gone viral triggering a major discussion online.
The incident took place when the woman was posing for photos and got too close to the horse and even held its reins.
"Stand back from the Queen's lifeguard, don't touch the reins!" the soldier suddenly yells aggressively while raising his sword, with the horse, too, moving forward.
The woman gets so scared that she just bolts from the vicinity.
Another video of a similar incident involving another woman tourist and the Queen’s guard has also gone viral on Tik Tok.
The two videos have been viewed millions of times and stirred a debate online. Many users slammed the reaction of the guards.
"The shouting was unnecessary! He could have spoken with a less aggressive tone of voice!" a Twitter user commented.
Others, however, said their actions were completely justified. "He's a guard, not sure what people expect to happen," a Twitter user said. "She deserved it, don't touch, there are signs telling you not to," commented another.
Although getting a photo with one of the Queen's guards is considered a part of the tourist experience of visiting London but there are rules such as no touching, which some tourists tend to ignore.
