Pakistan seems eager to be seen as a liar.
Pakistan President Arif Alvi today had a telephonic conversation with his Azerbaijan counterpart Ilham Aliyev to discuss the current situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the region.

"Azerbaijan’s President expressed his deep concern over the human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir, saying his country strongly supported Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir," went out the statement from the Pakistan President's House.
"He [Aliyev] urged the international community to take notice of the plight of Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) while President Alvi said coronavirus situation was being used as another excuse to discriminate against Muslims across India in the guise of lockdown that restricted access of Kashmiris to medical facilities and other supplies," the statement said further.
That the two Presidents discussed the Covid-19 situation was mentioned briefly at the end.

Azerbaijan, however, refused to give credence to the Pakistani claim. A few hours later, the official website of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev (<a href="https://en.president.az/">https://en.president.az/</a>) released a statement on the phone conversation.
The word ‘Kashmir’ appears nowhere in the statement.
This is as close as a diplomatic communiqué can come to saying that the other party is lying.
The statement was: "On May 8, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Alvi made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Pakistani President Arif Alvi extended his congratulations on the occasion of a recent videoconference of the Non-aligned Movement dedicated to fight against coronavirus which was held on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev. He hailed the importance of the conference in terms of strengthening efforts to combat the pandemic."
It further said, "President Ilham Aliyev noted that the event made a significant contribution to consolidating solidarity and international cooperation between the countries. The heads of state expressed their confidence that the two countries will continue to support each other’s stance at the international level. During the telephone conversation, President Ilham Aliyev and President Arif Alvi highlighted the measures taken to combat the coronavirus and exchanged views on prospects for bilateral ties, including the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries."
