Afghanistan&rsquo;s National Resistance Front&nbsp; (NRF), loyal to Ahmad Massoud, have formally launched their guerrilla resistance against the Taliban from the north-eastern province of&nbsp; Badakhshan.</p>
<p>
Afghanistan&rsquo;s Aamaj News announced on Monday that the agency obtained video footage of NRF militants claiming their presence in Badakhshan.</p>

&quot;The video clip [&hellip;] shows guerrilla fighters in the Badakhshan Province, whose leaders are pledging loyalty to the National Resistance Front and its leader Ahmad Massoud, while declaring a guerrilla war against the Taliban,&quot; the report says.</p>

The NRF resistance from the Panjshir valley, which had begun after the Taliban took over Kabul on August 15 rapidly fizzled out after Pakistan provided aerial support to the Taliban.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
On September 6, the Taliban claimed complete control over Panjshir Province. However, Massoud had then stated that the resistance would continue and had called for a nationwide guerrilla war.</p>
