Taliban has declared Hibatullah Akhundzada as the new head of the Afghan government under whom a Prime Minister or President will run the country. He is the third supreme leader of the Taliban and served as the head of the Sharia courts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Akhundzada, who has never made a public appearance and whose whereabouts have largely remained unknown, will likely work from Kandahar.</p>
