Turkey's President Recep Tayyib Erdogan raked up Kashmir issue to bolster ally Pakistan's narrative at the UN General Assembly. He called for UN resolution on Kashmir to be respected. In a tit-for-tat move, Jaishankar met with his Cyprus counterpart and reminded Turkey to respect the UN resolution on Cyprus due to Ankara's illegal occupation of the region.
