As news spread of Taliban capturing the provincial capital of Panjshir Valley, reports by the National Resistance Front (NRF) claim that they still control the area, dismissing Taliban's claims. Over the weekend, multiple attacks by Taliban saw the two of the resistance forces top commanders killed with the forces' leaders Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh taken to safety and secured at an unknown location. With this, the anti-Taliban forces have vowed to carry on their fight against them.
