Is China backing Taliban to protect their projects or is there a more sinister plot?

This comes in the backdrop of Taliban terrorists killing security check posts in Herat at the site of the Salma Dam which is a marker of Afghanistan-India friendship. In this latest development security experts are weighing Beijing&#39;s role in the power vacuum left behind with the US&#39; exit. This is also music to Pakistan&#39;s ears, as closer ties with terror leaders backed by them cementing closer links with Beijing, will help their cause of shifting Kabul away from India, US sphere of influence.
