India is poised to become a major hub for producing the Sputnik V vaccine with five Indian companies having signed agreements for the production of the vaccine. It would be the third COVID-19 vaccine approved in India, after AsztraZeneca&rsquo;s Covishield being produced at the Pune-based Serum Institute of India, and Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech&rsquo;s home-grown Covaxin developed in partnership with the Indian Council of Medical Research.</p>
