India Narrative in conversation with SASHA and MITHILAsmita brings to our viewers some key highlights and hopes of the handloom weavers in the country. Both these NGOs work with weavers across India and have helped their community mitigate the havoc caused by the second Covid-19 wave. Sasha is a fair-trade organisation that focuses on sustainable, transparent and heritage focused fabric prints, weaves and more. MITHILAsmita is a foundation run by Ihitashri Shandilya, grand-daughter of Madhubani art activist Gauri Mishra. Both are focussed in highlighting the unique art and weaves of India to the world.
