Sankaranarayana Menon at the age of six grabbed the sword and shield to learn Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art form practiced in Kerala, and became its unrivaled master. He reminds us of the greying Kung Fu masters of Shaolin. In 2022, Sankaranarayana was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the art form.
