Chinese regulators slapped a record fine of 18.2 billion yuan ($2.8 billion) on Jack Ma-led e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding. The fine was imposed on Alibaba for violating anti-monopoly rules as the country seeks to rein in the power of internet conglomerates. However, many observers view this as CCP&#39;s witch hunt on Jack Ma, following his sudden disappearance and later reappearance, in a bid to curb the tech giant&#39;s influence on the country. Does Xi Jinping view Ma as a threat? It certainly looks like it.</p>
