Indian Navy Test US F18 Fighter jet on INS Vikrant

Indian Navy will start the flight trials of US F-18 fighters from May 23. The US craft is one of the contenders for 26 fighters onboard soon on INS Vikrant. INS Vikrant is India&#39;s indigenous aircraft carrier to be commissioned in August 2022. As Indian Navy is expected to buy 26 carriers based multi-role fighters for INS Vikrant 8 of these aircraft two-seaters to be used both for flight training and operations.
