India Vaccination Drive Crosses 75 Crore Doses, WHO Congratulates India

India's COVID-19 drive crosses 750 million doses and is expected to touch 40% of total population by December. Lauding the effort, the World Health Organisation (WHO) congratulated the country with the global health body's South-East Asia regional director Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh calling it an ‘unprecedented pace.’ She further said in a tweet, “While it took 85 days to administer the first 100 million (10 crore) doses, India reached 750 million (75 crore) doses from 650 million (65 crore) in just 13 days”.
