The meeting provides a major boost to India-ASEAN Ties. The meeting assumes more importance as it comes at a time, when the region is tackling China&rsquo;s belligerence &amp; its increasing foothold in the region. But instead of adopting a confrontationist approach towards China, India pursues an inclusive approach to region based on the Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) doctrine.
