UN Sixth Committee granted the Observer Status to International Solar Alliance. Adoption of the resolution will usher in a new era of green energy and provide impetus to ISA’s work in solarising the world in fight against Climate Change.

The International Solar Alliance is an alliance of 124 countries initiated by India, most of them being the sunshine countries, which lie either completely or partly between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

UNGA76 will now have to formally adopt recommendation of 6th Committee.
