On Thursday, the government strongly refuted the New York Times report on Covid19 death toll as &ldquo;baseless and false&rdquo;. The report estimated 42 lakh deaths due to Covid-19 in India in a worst-case scenario, a number 13.3 times the official toll of 3,15,235.
