The Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor in a meeting with delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi (SADD) said that the J&K Government is committed to protecting the rights of women and minorities in the UT. The meeting comes after the double case of forceful conversion caused an uproar within the Sikh community in J&K. Two Sikh girls were kidnapped and converted into Islam, falling victim to Love Jihad.
