The world's highest railway bridge achieved a milestone with the joining of the arch of the Chenab Bridge. This task was achieved at a height of 359 metres above sea-level and will connect India's north – Kashmir – with the country's southermost station – Kanyakumari. Not only will this be the world's highest bridge but also the country's longest railway line and drive much needed tourism across the entire nation.
