Chabahar Port Explained | History, Significance & Planning

In this video, we talk about Chabahar Port, its history, its significance for India, Afghanistan, and Iran, and future planning. Chabahar Port is located in the southeastern part of Iran on the Gulf of Oman. The distance between Chahbahar Port and Mumbai is approx 1437 km. In May 2016 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Iran, India signed an agreement to further develop the Chabahar Port and rail link between Chabahar and Zahedan to connect with Afghanistan and Central Asian countries. Chabahar Port will help India bypass Pakistan to send any goods to Afghanistan. It will also help Afghanistan to connect with India bypassing Pakistan. Watch the video to know more
