Afghanistan Peace Process | India Opens Communication Channel With ‘Nationalist’ Taliban Factions

Amid Afghan peace process and US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, India has for the first time, opened channels of communication with Taliban as per reports. Reaching out to Afghan Taliban factions and “nationalist” leaders like Mullah Baradar, who are known to be not influenced by Pakistan and Iran. New Delhi’s move is a significant policy shift for New Delhi as it has never overtly engaged with the Afghan Taliban in any way.
