Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) developed anti-Covid oral drug laboratory has been granted emergency use approval by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Called as the 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG), the oral drug is developed by Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) in collaboration with Dr Reddy&#39;s Laboratories. It will be used as an adjunct therapy in moderate cases of hospitalised COVID19 patients to reduce their supplemental oxygen dependence. Here&#39;s all you need to know about it!</p>
