World Wildlife Day is celebrated every year on 3rd March to focus on global attention on the protection of biodiversity and wildlife. The theme for this year is &lsquo;Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet&rsquo;. March 3rd is the date on which the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) was adopted in 1973.
