Tesla owner Elon Musk follows PM Modi on Twitter

Twitter owner and Tesla founder Elon Musk has started following Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A screenshot of the list of 195 people that the billionaire follows on Twitter included PM Modi’s name on Monday and has gained considerable traction on social media.

Musk is the most followed person on Twitter with 134.3 million people. He achieved the feat after surpassing former US President Barack Obama in March-end. With 87.7 million followers, PM Modi is also one of the most followed leaders on Twitter.

The news about Musk’s follower update was also posted on Twitter by “Elon Alerts”, which monitors activity related to the Tesla chief’s account.

Twitter users were speculating on whether this means that Tesla would make an entry in the Indian market as the country’s economy is seen as one of the bright spots at a time of slowing global growth with many countries headed for recession.
