Ducati launches DesertX in India priced at Rs 17.91 lakh

Luxury motorcycle brand Ducati today announced the launch of the new DesertX in India, with prices starting at Rs 17.91 lakh. Bookings for the motorcycle have also started and deliveries will commence next month.

The Ducati Desert X is powered by the same 973 cc, L-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected Testastretta engine that also powers the Multistrada V2 and the newl Monster. The engine produces 110 hp at 9250 rpm and 92 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.

Precisely designed to offer the best performance in off-road riding and in various uses, the DesertX engine is equipped with a gearbox developed specially for the intended use of the motorcycle. In fact, the gearbox has different dedicated ratios with respect to those of the Multistrada V2. The ratios have been shortened overall on all gears up to fifth, to ensure the best off-road behavior, according to a company statement.
