An exquisite map of Srinagar depicted on a Pashmina shawl shows the talent and skills of weavers in Kashmir. The Kashmir Kani work on Pashmina shawl is considered a masterpiece with only 3 or 4 such shawls in existence throughout the world. Taking 30 years in the making, these shawls were made in the late 1800s. One was apparently presented to Queen Victoria by Maharaja Ranbir Singh and is kept in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, another piece is at a museum in Australia, while one is with a private collector and one still in India in Srinagar's Shri Pratap Singh Museum.
