Pashtuns in Pakistan brave severe weather to rally for their cause of Pashtunistan in Miran Shah. Organised by the PTM, this was the largest gathering of Pashtuns since India's independence in 1947. The rally has highlighted the unity of Pashtuns against Pak Army & ISI's atrocities on them.

As Saudi Arabia reissues their commemorative 20 Riyal note on the request of Indian government, to show Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan as part of India; UAE is now considering to repatriate Pakistani nationals from the Emirate and forge deeper ties with Israel and India. Pakistan is increasingly losing support of the Arab world and developing closer links with Israel. UAE has cited COVID-19 as their reason to ban travel to and from Pakistan. Interestingly, though the numbers are rising in Europe and the USA alike, these countries are still open for travel from the Gulf nation. This is a tacit blow to Islamabad as it tries to change the narrative on Kashmir (which has greatly irked Riyadh) while other Gulf nation see Pakistan's close proximity with Turkey as reason to bid them 'goodbye'.

All is not well with Pakistan and China is taking note of it. Both the countries are facing their own set of challenges, Pakistan -with its social and political turmoil, China - global economic pariah and rising anti-Chinese sentiment. With this in light, Beijing is now reconsidering their investments in Pakistan with CPEC and BRI. Beijing is looking to buy time to get a better loan deal from Islamabad, knowing full well that Pakistan cannot go anywhere else. However, this puts Islamabad in a situation of its own making - potential colony of China.

Azadi March (Freedom march) organized by the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party and Jammu Kashmir National Students’ Federation on Nov 16, 2020 at Rawalakot, POK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) highlights the grave atrocities and gross human rights violation in the occupied region by Pakistan. The march was against the Pakistani establishment. Commencing from the College Grounds in Rawalakot, it culminated into a large assembly at the Kachehri Chowk. Pakistan had forcibly captured Gilgit-Baltistan on Nov 16, 1947. The Rawalakot Azadi march was in remembrance of this day. Pakistan has been suppressing demands for freedom in POK. But now the Kashmiris across POK and Gilgit-Baltistan are protesting to attain freedom from Pakistan.

In a bid to remove the onus of being called the 'terror state', Pakistan over the weekend held a joint press conference between FM Qureshi and Pak Army spokesman where they alleged India's role in supporting terror groups from Afghanistan. Soon after, Afghanistan issued a statement where they rejected Islamabad's claims and India's MEA Anurag Srivastava said the so-called proof has no evidence and is a move to distract their citizens from the economic, political and social turmoil. Pakistan is still in FATF's 'greylist' where Islamabad has yet to take 6 action points seriously or else risk being in the terror funding watchdog's blacklist which can seriously ruin their already fragile economy.
