Watch: Wild elephant stops trucks on highway and takes its share of sugarcane

The fascinating video shows a wild elephant stopping trucks passing on the highway through a forest area and removing some of the sugarcane loaded on them for its own consumption. The short clip shows the elephant stopping at least three trucks one after another and removing its share of the sugarcane with its trunk.

Some cars are also seen coming to a halt but then move on after the elephant has removed some sugarcane from the truck ahead.

The truck drivers also seem to have got used to the ritual as they carefully come to a stop when they see the elephant on the road and then slowly move on after he has removed his share of the sugarcane.

A social media user, Dr. Ajayita, tweeted the video with the rather apt  caption: “The Toll Tax Collector.”
