Forest dept. staff rescue spotted deer from deep well in Coimbatore

A spotted deer which landed up in an open well located near Coimbatore, was safely and swiftly rescued thanks to the intervention of the Forest Department staff.</p>
<p>
The open well belonged to Thangara in Coimbatore’s Peedampalli village.</p>
<p>
The Forest Department rescue team was led by R. Arun Kumar, Forest Range Officer, who on reaching the site, used a net to take out the stranded animal out of the well. Following this, the deer was released in the reserve forest area of Ettimadai in Madukkarai forest range.</p>
<p>
The Forest Department staff disclosed the deer looked healthy and had no injuries and suspect that it may have lost its way and strayed into human habitation.</p>
