Is George Soros who targeted PM Modi and Adani behind the hit job on Donald Trump?

Is the ultra-Left billionaire financier, George Soros known for despising conservatives, nationalists–in fact all those who do not follow his globalist world-government agenda– behind the hit job on former US President Donald Trump?

At least Trump thinks so, and he is not alone.

On Tuesday, Trump was arrested after he arrived to surrender at the Manhattan Criminal Court for his arraignment on criminal charges.

His arrest followed an ongoing probe for allegedly paying hush-money to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The investigation is led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Bragg, an American politician and lawyer from New York City, became the first African American elected to the post of District Attorney, covering Manhattan.

Now, there are allegations that Bragg was funded by none other than George Soros, who incidentally has been after Gautam Adani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing them as threats to Indian democracy– a theme, not coincidentally picked up by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Soros, whose name has been linked with several regime-change colour revolutions, said that Adani’s woes will weaken PM Modi as the two are “close allies”. He then went on to make the over-the-top prediction that the double-strike will lead to “a democratic revival in India.”

Now, according to a Fox News report, Soros hand was suspected in funding Bragg. He donated $1 million to the ‘Colour of Change PAC’ a civil rights advocacy organisation in the US in May 2021. Then the PAC spent heavily to support Bragg’s candidacy. Moreover, Soros’ daughter Jennifer Allan Soros and son Jonathan Soros made contributions to Bragg’s campaign directly. The New York State Board of Elections has reportedly said that Jonathan and Jennifer donated a total of $20,000 to Bragg’s 2021 campaign.

The Trump campaign naturally amplified the alleged Soros link by writing to its supporters on April 2 that “the American people and Republican primary voters, in particular, are outraged by the weaponization of our justice system by George Soros’ hand-picked and funded Manhattan DA against a completely innocent person and the leading Republican candidate for president”.

On the same day Trump went ballistic against Soros. “Not only is this Soros D.A.’s sham indictment – of which I am completely innocent – entirely un-American, but so are the Democrats who are cheering on and gloating for the FALL of our Republic,” he stressed.

“George Soros, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Crooked Hillary [Clinton] are hoping that this will finally be the ‘end of Trump,'” he wrote. “But these left-wing radicals will never understand that this movement is much bigger than me,” Trump observed.

Trump is not the only one alleging a Soros conspiracy to keep him out of the presidential race.

“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American,” tweeted Ronald Dion DeSantis better known as Ron DeSantis, former military officer who is now serving as Governor of Florida.

He added that “the Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct.”

“Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent,” DeSantis said.

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, a staunch critic of Trump who even vote in favour of convicting the former president in both his impeachment trials has shown his discontent for the way the Manhattan district attorney’s office has been handling the case.

“I believe President Trump’s character and conduct make him unfit for office…Even so, I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda,” he said.

“No one is above the law, not even former presidents, but everyone is entitled to equal treatment under the law. The prosecutor’s overreach sets a dangerous precedent for criminalizing political opponents and damages the public’s faith in our justice system,” Romney added.
