Pakistani terrorist & Jaish chief Wani among four militants gunned down at Pulwama in Kashmir

A Pakistani terrorist and a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander were among four terrorists killed in a fierce encounter with security forces at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.</p>

According to the J& K police, an Operation was launched in Naira Pulwama on 29 Jan evening against Jaesh terrorists. Four terrorists were killed in this encounter including onePakistani terrorist and Zahid Wani who was one of the main Jaesh commanders after Lamboo and Sameer Dar. The Pakistani terrorist who was killed was active in the area since 2020 and was operating under the code name Kafir @Chotu.</p>

The weapons seized from them include an M4 rifle with night vision, two AK series rifles, 12 grenades and two pistols.</p>

This module was directly controlled from across the border in Pakistan with the support of Sakargargh and Kotli camps under the direct supervision of Qari Zarar and Mulana Rouf Azhar ( brother of Massod Azhar). Pakistan is continuously trying to push these elements to India through the border, the police statement said.</p>

Zahid Wani was an extreme radical and a hard core Jihadi. He was was one of the oldest surviving JeM terrorists and  top Jaesh Commander in South Kashmir after the killing of Jaesh Terrorist Lamboo and Sameer Dar who were mastermind of Pulwama incident. He was active since the year 2017 and was responsible for large scale recruitment of terrorists in South Kashmir.</p>

The security forces expect his elimination to disorient the remaining JeM terrorists operating in valley since Zahid used to give them planning and leadership. Also, local recruitment in JeM may see a drop in forthcoming days.The other terrorists killed include  Waheed Ah Reshi and Inayaitullah Mir.</p>

"05 terrorists of Pakistan sponsored proscribed terror outfits LeT and JeM killed in dual encounters in last 12 hours. JeM commander terrorist Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist among the killed. Big success for us: IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar tweeted on Sunday.</p>

Four terrorists have been killed in an encounter that took place between security forces and terrorists in the Naira area of Pulwama district. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition recovered. Search is going on, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.</p>
<p>
Another terrorist was gunned down in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Chrar-i-Sharief area of Budgam.</p>
